Despite the UK’s unpredictable summer, I decided to wear my yellow sun dress with gold and orange this weekend, despite the weather being so inconsistent. This dress was first featured on the blog in 2012 (another Grace Kelly-style trip) and I haven’t had many chances to wear it since. The coral cashmere sweater was worn either over the dress or around my shoulders, depending on the weather. The pleasures of a British summer …!
Yellow sun dress are my weakness when it comes buying summer clothes. I have four and they’re the first colour I reach for when I browse the lego photography summer sales. The yellow Twitchill dress that I wore to the Hobbs photo shoot brown belt last year is a favourite of mine. I am still debating whether or not it’s too similar to other clothes.
Yellow Sun Dress
My obsession may be getting out of control. I blame Sandy from Grease for her lemon-yellow sun dress fit-and- flare dress and Sandy’s obsession with sweet Sandy. (My six-year old self was more obsessed about sweet Sandy” than’sexy Sandy). When I was 18 years old, my mum gave me a dupe and I would give anything to get it back …!
You could be featured next week if you crystal children include a summer dress to the link-up below.
The campaign began on Instagram in August 2015. It was a campaign where women over 30 wore anything on a list of inappropriate items for women (30+) including leopard print, short dresses, and oversized sunglasses. Yes. It was so popular, I decided to bring it on weekly to let women of all ages share their amazing style.
Every Monday at 3pm UK Time, the link-up goes live and will remain open for one week. Although the original article was aimed at those aged 30+, it is open to all ages. Only one rule: You can wear whatever clothes you like!
